Fruitland Flora & Fauna

Some summer fun- We made the long and treacherous trip to Shayne's old mission. We stopped by Burley on the way to see Marielle, Muggs and Janelle. Marielle won her penning contest if you didn't hear- ask her about it. Try as Shayne did, the mission wouldn't let him back, it was fun to visit all the people he taught and worked with. They loved him- not too surprising though.
The all important potato.

We caught a wonderful little mouse in our kitchen about a month ago and decided to keep him as a pet. Unfortunately, Case got to the landlord's rat poison before we found him and only lived two days longer- at least he died in comfort.
Trying our hand at square-foot gardening, as you can see we don't have much of a backyard. It was a fun experiment, didn't yield a lot of flora, however we plan on trying again with a few improvements.

Walked out the front door this morning and found this friendly critter sharing my porch. Thought all the Orkin men would especially enjoy this photo.
Overall- life continues to be wonderful- just wanted to share a bit of the local wildlife. Shayne's work is going amazing, and I'm in the process of GRE studying and ISU applying. Volunteering in the PACU and looking for more work. Shayne just got called to be the 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum and I'm still teaching the sunbeams. Love you all

Rat poison, a.k.a warfarin, "invented" by the wisconsin alumni research foundation (warf-arin). Gotta love the sunbeams! Heather and I had that calling together for almost a year, I've moved on but Heather is still teaching them, but not for long...
